Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
"All the Women of Lake Edge gather together in support of each other and to enrich our spiritual lives.
We reach out to each other, the community of Lake Edge and the greater Madison community."
All women of Lake Edge Lutheran belong to WELCA (Women of the ELECA) and in turn belong to the South Central Synod of WELCA. As such, WELCA members commit to support their mission and goals, provide spiritual growth and opportunities to attend conventions and retreats, and provide financial support to many organizations in our community. Please visit us at : http://www.womenoftheelca.org/
WELCA Circles meet monthly and have one central study in July.
WELCA’s Thankoffering Sunday
Once each year Thankoffering Sunday gives Lake Edge the opportunity to be thankful for the abundance in our lives. We dare to embody the Gospel and move from faith to action by gifting others.

Annual Bake Sale
Lefse is featured at our annual bake sale. The Women of Lake Edge are among the few Lutheran church groups who still prepare Lefse from real potatoes. It is our tradition to come together to make the lefse, and we invite others to join with us to share and learn. Our Bake Sale is our only money-making project.
Our annual all-congregational Bake Sale takes place from 9–11 am., on a Saturday before Thanksgiving. Everyone is encouraged to bake or make a donation for this annual event. People will be at the church on Friday evening from 5—7 pm to accept and mark your baked goods. Norwegian specialties have always been big sellers, along with all the other delicious contributions, which you make.
